The two talents who graduated from Benfica's academy continue drawing attention… and for the best reasons. Gonçalo Guedes and Renato Sanches made two great assists for their respective clubs.
Renato Sanches' Swansea went through to the next round of the English League Cup after beating Tiago Ilori's Reading, away by 2-nil.
Renato Sanches featured in the Starting XI and was involved in the play that opened the scoring. After a short corner, the Portuguese midfielder made a cross towards Alfie Mawson, who broke the deadlock.
Valência got back to winning ways in the Spanish League after the 5–nil rout of Malaga, in a night that marked Gonçalo Guedes' debut in the Starting XI.
The former Benfica player Rodrigo sealed the win, in the 86th minute, after being assisted by Gonçalo Guedes.
