Another important moment of the Estádio da Luz's 14 years of age: April 20th, 2014, Lima scores twice against Olhanense, and Benfica becomes a Champion.
15 October 2017, 17h34
With still three matches left to play in the National Championship (2013/14), Benfica had everything to get it earlier: it was a question of time and of a single win, in order to reach its 33rd national title.
In one of the most important moments of Estádio da Luz's history, which turns 14 years of existence on next October 25th 2017, the reds were hosting Olhanense and did not want to expect no more. The title became decided on that October 20th (2014) afternoon; 2-0, with Lima scoring twice.

There were thousands, celebrating and looking for the best spot in order to receive the players, the technical team and the president whom would arrive by midnight, by the Champions' Bus.
“This title is dedicated to Eusébio and Mário Coluna”, shouted the president, Luís Filipe Vieira, remembering both club's icons – deceased – in his first words to the crowd.
After a period of interaction between players and supporters at Marquês Pombal - where even the statue was wearing the jersey –, the celebration came to an end with fireworks, at the sound of the “Ser Benfiquista”, hymn of Sport Lisboa e Benfica, by Luís Piçarra.
