João Cancelo, a player made in Benfica, did not want to miss the opportunity to return to Caixa Futebol Campus and to wish good look to the new B team coach, Bruno Lage, an old acquaintance, and one of his first mentors at Seixal.
05 July 2018, 18h22
With both starting new stage of their respective careers, the current Juventus player made a point of returning to Caixa Futebol Campus and exchange some words and wishes of good luck with the new coach of Benfica's B team, on a visit where the complicity between both was visible.
I should be remembered that Bruno Lage worked with João Cancelo's generation (1994), in two moments: first in the U-15 team, in the 2008/09 season, and after in the U-17 team, in 2010/11. Two years that resulted in two national titles for the full-back and the current coach of Benfica's B team.
Coming from Barreirense, João Cancelo represented Benfica for 6 seasons (from the youth teams to the first team) before moving to Valencia, in 2014/15. Last season, he played in the Italian Serie A, at Inter Milan and recently transferred to Juventus where he will play in 2018/19.
