In the statistical aftermath of the round 17 of the Basketball National Championship, Anthony Ireland and Gary McGhee dominated the assists and steals chapters, respectively.

Anthony Ireland made 15 assists in the "clássico" and was only two assists shy of the competition record so far, held by Rafael Lisboa. The center Gary McGhee, in addition to the six steals, the highest tally of the round, was also considered the Man of the Match in a prize awarded by the sponsor of the Reds, the canning company Ramirez.
