Samaris scored the 2nd goal in Benfica's win over (0-4) on matchday 26 of the Liga NOS. The number 22 of the eagles claimed that the team imposed its game and highlighted that is is very positive for the Reds to be at the top spot ahead of an international break.
"We made a good game, we played how we wanted to, we imposed our game, the players are enjoying the game philosophy that we have and as long as we are able to implement it on the pitch, the victories will appear", he explained after this afternoon's match.
Asked about the team's approach to this Sunday's match, the midfielder from the eagles praised the team's professionalism.
"We know the time interval we have and the adaptation must be quick because there's no time to be sorry. We reacted well in the 120 minutes on Thursday [match against Dinamo Zagreb for the Europa League] and I think that the way we played this afternoon has demonstrated everyone's professionalism. Now there is an international break, some players will rest, other will represent their national teams, but, overall, heading to this break in the 1st place of the Championship is good for the team", he guaranteed.
