The awards of the Best Players of the professional football competition in Portugal in September highlighted three athletes from Benfica. Jota won the award of Best Player of the II Division and the trophy was delivered this Monday in Seixal.

“It's fantastic! It means that the work is also being well done. It was only possible with the help and support of the whole team. They managed to boost me to win this trophy and now it's time to keep working to get more”, claimed the 19-year-old to BTV.

Jota was the winner with 16,48% of the votes, and in the 2nd place of the podium (15,61%) finished another player that usually competes for the B team, Florentino Luís, which is symptomatic of good work carried out at Caixa Futebol Campus.

It is worth remembering that apart from Jota and Florentino, also Rúben Dias was distinguished in the same category, finishing third (11,4%), but in the I Division.
