João Ferreira
Sport Lisboa e Benfica informs that it has reached an agreement with Watford FC, from England, for the permanent transfer of the football player João Ferreira.
The 21-year-old right back has represented Benfica since 2014/15, the year in which he arrived at Benfica Campus to be part of the U-14 team, coming from Rio Ave.
With an eagle on his chest, João Ferreira became a U-15 National Champion (2015/16) and U-17 National Champion (2016/17) and he renewed contract (until 2026) in March 2021 as a professional and a member of Benfica's first team squad.
João Ferreira made is first team debut in the Portuguese Cup, on November 21, 2020, against Paredes, and made five appearances with the first team.
On loan, he played for Vitória Sport Clube in 2021/22 and, in the current season, he represented Rio Ave.
SL Benfica wishes João Ferreira all the best in this new stage of his career.
