António Silva, Benfica's central defender, is one of the 10 finalists for the Kopa Trophy, the award that will be presented at the Ballon d'Or Gala to the best Under-21 player in the world. The Eagles' No. 4 is the only Portuguese player in this restricted group of players nominated by France Football.

In the 2022/23 season, it should be remembered, the trophy was awarded to Barcelona's Spanish midfielder Pablo Gavi.

The name of the winner will be revealed on October 30 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris at the Ballon d'Or Gala.
