Inês Queiroga joins Benfica

Inês Queiroga is the most recent new signing of the women's football team of Benfica for the 2018/19 season. The Portuguese right-back played at SC Braga last season and upon the arrival at Luz she was happy to see her work be rewarded.

“It is an inexplicable feeling. It is a Club of excellence, which makes me very proud, and it means that our work is seen and rewarded”, she said, in statements to BTV.

The 18-year-old Portuguese player presented herself to the Benfiquistas, pointing out perseverance as one of her qualities.

“As a player, I describe myself as someone who never gives up, who is always in the fight. I am a hard player and I never give a ball as lost”, she stated.

For the new stage of her career, the objectives are set: “Benfica, being a historic Club, must have maximum demand. The players must honor the jersey and bring titles to the Club.”

“To win all the competition we play in”, added Inês Queiroga.

Apart from SC Braga, Inês Queiroga played at GD Chaves, the emblem where she began representing in 2009/10, at the age of 9.
