Our volleyball team played this afternoon, in Azores, the National Championship final, as the defending champions and three sets were enough for Sport Lisboa e Benfica to grab the title once more.

In the last 8 seasons, Benfica won 6 Championships, consolidating an undeniable national hegemony. This Championship, the 9th of our History, allowed us to achieve the third position in the list of national clubs with the most titles. We carry on with the desire and ambition of us all, Benfiquistas: to be the club with the most titles in Portugal, also in volleyball.

Benfica deserve congratulations. Just like all the players, coaching staff, and the board. To all, my gratitude for this brilliant win and for all the titles conquered for Museum Cosme Damião and, consequently, for the History of Sport Lisboa e Benfica.
