Benfica player João Neves won the Liga Betclic Best Midfielder of the Month award for October and November. The Eagles' number 87 received 24.60% of the votes from the managers.

Started from the bench in the win against Estoril (0-1) on matchday 8, the midfielder was subsequently given full minutes in the games against Casa Pia, Chaves and Sporting. In the Lisbon derby, he scored the goal that started Benfica's comeback towards the 2-1 win.

João Neves beat off competition from Estoril's Rafik Guitane (15.87%) and Moreirense's Franco (10.32%) to win back the award he had already won in September.
