Benfica player João Neves won the Liga Betclic Best Midfielder of the Month award for February. The Eagles' number 87 collected 30.16% of the votes from the managers.

The 19-year-old started in all four matches during the period (Gil Vicente, Vitória SC, Vizela and Portimonense), played 305 minutes and scored one goal, in the 3-0 win over Gil Vicente.

João Neves beat off competition from Sporting's Hjulmand (18.25%) and Arouca's David Simão (15.08%) to win the award that had already been given to him in September, October/November, and December, making it his fourth in the 2023/24 season.
