João Neves, Benfica's player, won the Liga Betclic Best Midfielder of the Month award for March. The Eagles' number 87 collected 29.06% of the votes from the managers.

The 19-year-old was a starter in three of the four matches played during this period (FC Porto, Estoril, Casa Pia and Chaves), playing 280 minutes and scoring one goal, in the 1-0 win over Chaves.

João Neves beat off competition from Sporting's Hjulmand (21.37%) and Arouca's David Simão (7.69%) to win the award that had already been awarded to him in September, in October/November, in December, and in February, making it his fifth in the 2023/24 season.
